SpeedRead is built by YComplex. Your privacy is straightforward: we do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. The app works entirely on your device.
Data Collection
SpeedRead does not collect any personal information. We do not track your usage, reading habits, document contents, or any other data. There are no analytics, no telemetry, and no third-party tracking SDKs in the app.
Data Storage
All data created by SpeedRead—including your document library, reading positions, settings, and preferences—is stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to external servers. Your data stays on your phone.
Document Processing
When you import files or add web articles, all processing happens on your device:
- EPUB, PDF, TXT, and Markdown files are parsed locally
- Web articles are fetched directly by the app and processed on-device
- No document content is ever sent to YComplex or any third party
Third-Party Services
SpeedRead does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. There are no ads in the app.
Children’s Privacy
Since SpeedRead does not collect any data from anyone, it does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this privacy policy, changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Given that we collect no data, we do not anticipate significant changes.
